A policy of postponing operations and non-urgent medical appointments was implemented as soon as the epidemic began. It was accompanied by the implementation of a strict protocol for people who still had to go to healthcare facilities, including movement plans, banning of accompanying persons, systematic disinfection of hands and the use of personal protective equipment such as masks.
